" the zhow "
I am not the first show of my parents because my older brother occupied the stage solo for 5 years and a half. For 9 months, from behind the scenes of this family theater, I was able to be the privileged spectator of my mother’s emotions. I made my first public release on November 28, 1976 when my mother decided to put me in the spotlight. I do not remember that moment, nor the backstage, but sometimes the feelings that animate me arise from nowhere, no doubt from that time. In any case, I like to believe it. I am the grandson of a dancer, the son of a singer and a dancer. My parents, assisted by my older brother, transmitted to me the love of the show, in the street or in the hall.
" aRtivist "
I am a musician who draws his music from what surrounds him. Everything is spectacle: every person, every word and every situation. It is in this reality that I build my truth, thus weaving my art as an artisan. I grew up in Paris, where different cultures and peoples lived, like a big family. The urban streets were my first public scenes. At 18, I left popular Paris, at least the one I knew, to go to the Basque Country. There, I rediscovered my origins and the meaning of being «Basque». Then, I crossed cultural and social commitment, sometimes separately, sometimes together. This is how my artistic and activist consciousness was born, making me an "artivist"
composing for images, sculpting emotions
My approach to composition is that of a craftsman: shaping sound matter to reveal a story, a thrill, a truth. Orchestra, electronic textures, traditional Basque resonances... Each project invites me to explore new materials, to listen to what I see. I'm open to all artistic experiences, I have no barriers. I love a challenge. I compose orchestral, electro and traditional music for shows, animated films, documentaries, short films, feature films and musical stories. Observation and listening are my main qualities.
